hinese researchers say a patient with Type 2 diabetes is now insulin-free after stem cell treatment. Experts call it promising but caution that more large-scale trials are needed.
In what is being described as a major medical milestone, scientists in China have reportedly reversed Type 2 diabetes in a patient using stem cell therapy. The patient, who was previously dependent on insulin, is now said to be drug-free after receiving lab-engineered pancreatic cells designed to restore natural insulin production.
